She was predeceased by: her parents, Bruce Vest and Lela Mae Vest; her grandmother Clara Daniels; and her stepfather Thomas Franklin. She is survived by: her children, Scott Wiley of Thornton and Kristen Wiley of Groesbeck; her grandchildren, Ella Bosco of Groesbeck, James Campbell of Groesbeck, Kaira Hargrove of Groesbeck and Lyric Hargrove of Groesbeck; her friend Wade Wiley of Groesbeck; and her brothers, Jimmy (Rosemary Vest), Chuck (Barbara Vest) and Jeffrey (Liz Vest). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and close friends.
Rita fought her final battle with Covid during the past three weeks, with her daughter Kristen going to the hospital to be with her every day.
