He was predeceased by: his parents, Buel Oliver O'Neal and Ella Mae O'Neal (Cuvelier); his sisters, Peggy O'Neal and Bernice Tatum; and his brother-in-law Wayne Wilson.
He is survived by: his wife Betty O'Neal of Lenoir, NC; his son James Michael; his daughter-in-law Cecilia O'Neal of Hewitt; his daughter Karen; his son-in-law Donnie Sanders of Groesbeck; his son Jason O'Neal (Shannon) of Lenoir, NC; his stepdaughters, Lisa and Deborah; his grandchildren, Heather and Cameron Judy of Evergreen, Colorado; his children, Chad, Ashley O'Neal of Lorena, TX, Krystle, Raj Gandhi of Fort Worth, Rachel, Clantzy Ballard of Elm Mot and Shelby Sanders of Fort Worth; his siblings, Robert (Yvonne O'Neal), Howard (Mabel O'Neal), Dorothy Wilson of Gilmer and Mary Katherine; and his brother-in-law Lawrence Sims of Groesbeck. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
