She was predeceased by: her parents, John Barnett Sims and Addie Bea Sims (Ward); her son James Wayne Oswalt; her husband James Edwin Oswalt; her brothers, J. W. Sims and Ladell Sims (Dale); and her sisters-in-law, Sue Yvonne Sims and Welda Innette Sims.
She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Dennis, James, Sherry Sims of Houston, Vicki, Ronnie Sasson of West Columbia, Tammy and John Murray; her pet Dianne Sims of Victoria; her great-nephew Jeffrey; and her great-niece Ginger Sims.
