He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Sanders and Ruthie Jewel Sanders; his daughter Joy Louise Foreman; and his siblings, Jimmy Ray Sanders, Cleveland Loy Sanders, Larry Truman Sanders, Robert Glen Sanders, Oia Kent Sanders (Kenny), Willie Wade Sanders, Robert Lee Sanders (RL), Ora Lee Johnson, Wanda Faye Texter, Ella Louise Collins, Reba Diane Kerzee and Ruthie Jo Sanders.
He is survived by: his siblings, Charles Sanders (Darlene) and Joan Ferguson; his children, Donnie Sanders (Karen), Janet Ridge (Billie), Wynona Hope Rawlinson and Christopher Sanders (Amanda Duane); and his grandchildren, Krystle Gandhi (Raj), Jeremy Rawlinson, Kali Barco (Timothy), Rachel Ballard (Clantzy), Jacob Rawlinson, Tisha Sanders, Betty Jean Lobello, Christian Joy Sanders, Shelby Sanders and Justin Thomas Sanders. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren, and numerous Nieces and Nephews.
