He is survived by: his wife Beverly "Jean" Phillips (Breland) of Groesbeck; his son Jackie Wayne; his daughter-in-law Kim Phillips of Gardendale, TX; his son David; his daughter-in-law Tina Phillips of Mt. Vernon, KY; his daughter Melissa Phillips of Paragould, AR; his stepchildren, Kelley Cate of Groesbeck, Terri Harris (Tracy Pinkerton) and Mike Harris (Dianne Shults); and his siblings, Yvonne Fortson of Mexia, Bettye Martin (Truman) of Rice and Duane Beard of Kirven. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
