We are sad to announce that on January 28, 2025, at the age of 100, Minerva Lopez of Gregory, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Juan Gomez and Juanita Gomez; her husband Alejandro Lopez; and her children, Johnny Lopez, Juan Ramiro Lopez and Minerva Lopez.
She is survived by: her children, Lydia Ortiz (Esteban), Pedro Lopez (Ronnelle), Rosario Cantu (Juan), Phyllis Lopez (Johnny) and Yolanda Flores; her grandchildren, Monica Ortiz, Fernando Ortiz (Michelle), Victoria Lopez, Rebecca Lopez, Melissa Lindow (Marvin), Manita Bush (Charles), Laurie Miller, Rosita Cantu and Gilbert Flores; and her great grandchildren, Emily Peña, Hunter, Taylor Ortiz, Blaise, Sophia Garcia, Kindall, Karson, Kylie Keel, Noah, Jett Bush, Cassie and Hailey Miller.
Viewing was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Winsteads' Funeral Home (500 Wildcat Dr, Portland, TX 78374). Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A rosary was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (107 Church, Gregory, TX 78359).
