He was predeceased by: his parents, Librado Nunez Chapa and Delores Lumbreras Chapa; and his grandson Jonathon. He is survived by: his wife Olga Arevalo Chapa; his children, Cynthia Lapree (James) of Portland, Nancy Serna (Mark) of Palacios, Loraine Sanchez (Joseph) of Portland, Amber Rogers (Rick) of Portland, Amanda Chapa of Gregory and Roger Lozano (Patsy) of San Antonio; his siblings, Librado Chapa (Amelia) of Taft, Jess Chapa (Yolanda) of Corpus Christi, Lupe Helling (Laverne) of Wisconsin, Janie, Dell of Arizona and Maria Perea (Juan) of Colorado; and his grandchildren, Cory, Chris, Danielle, Roxanne, Joey, Randy, Marissa, Anthony, Diana, Tyrel, Ricky, Dominio, Summer, Jordan, T. J., Avery, Lanie, Azarea and Alaysia. He is also survived by 19 great grandchildren.
