He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Childers and Thelma King; and his brother Gene Childers. He is survived by: his brother Steve Childers; his nieces, Laurie Litzenberger and Valerie Penny; his great-nieces, Caitlyn Holmes, Alyssa Thomas and Emily Thomas; his great-nephew Ryan Litzenberger; and also, Samson and Ezra Holmes. He is also survived by many cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 21st 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home (5100 Interstate Hwy 30, Greenville, TX 75402). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, March 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Grove Hill Memorial Park (3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228).
