It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Ann Asbury of Greenville, Texas, born in Indianola, Mississippi, who passed away on October 14, 2023, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Robert Murry and Lizzie Mae Murry; her husband Edward Asbury; her brothers, Andrew and Henry Williams; her children, Marcus Smith (Keiara), Larry Barksdale (Zarina), Antonio Barksdale (Chamiera), Victoria Sampson (Xavier) and Kimberly Murray; her nieces, Evelyn Smallwood and Angel Murray; her grandchildren, Harmony of Essence, XJ, Kalaiha, Luke, Evan, Da'Marcus Jr., Damyiah, Damoni and Khloe; her godfather Robert McDonalds (Dovie); and her sister Evelyn Murray. She was also cherished by uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
