He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry J. Martyn, Jr. and Pansy Louise McConnell Martyn. He is survived by: his mother-in-law Cheryl Ann Beck; his wife Cheryl Ann; his son Aaron Martyn; his stepsons, Chris Manlove (Rosa) and Shaun Beck (Rachael); his daughter Julie Martyn; his siblings, Jay Martyn (Lynda), Bruce Martyn (Sunny), Mac Martyn and Nancy Place (Jim); his grandchildren, John Jr., Madelyn, Victoria, Jack, Nevaeh, Aaliyah, Kaden and Legend; and his nieces and nephews, Allison, Lauren, Katie, Haley, Alana, Kylie, PJ, Matt and Daniel.
