He was predeceased by: his parents, J. W. Stanford and Ida Mae Wilson Stanford; his great grandchildren, Austin and Haven Sharkey; his brothers-in-law, Charles "Sotty" King and Gerald Little; and his niece Vickie Stapleton.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Jean Stanford; his children, Shelley, Jeff Hansell, Kevin Stanford, Julie Guthery and James Stanford; his grandchildren, Kristopher Stanford, Lacey (Logan Sharkey), Allie (Colton Winters), Jaclyn Hansell and Courtney (Trey Clanton); his great grandchildren, Tyler Sharkey and Cooper Winters; and his siblings, Betty King, Barbara Little and Jody Stanford (Linda Sue Stanford). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
