He was predeceased by: his parents, John Almendarez, Sr. and Mary Laredo; his brothers, Joel Almendarez and Albert "Rene" Almendarez; and his sister-in-law Kerri Almendarez.
He is survived by: his family Linda; his daughters, Christie, Isabel and Love; his wife Linda; his daughter Melissa Vandiver; his grandchildren, Kyle, Jonathan, Eryn, Michael, Dana, Danielle, Ryan and Reid; his great grandchildren, Sophia and Aiden; and his siblings, Belinda Almendarez, Suzanne Yepez, Antoinette Maldonado, Jennifer Ruiz, Victor Almendarez and Lupe Piaz. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and extended family and friends.
