With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Janet Julia Moore (Grapevine, Texas), born in Brownsburg, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 19, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dwight Harmon Trucksess and Helen South Trucksess; and her brother David Dwight Trucksess. She is survived by: her husband Jess Moore (Gene); her children, Carolyn Moore (Darrel VanDyke), Sandy Steele (Guy Steele), Gayle Barrera (John Barrera) and William Moore (Bill); her daughter-in-law Alexandra Moore (Alex); her sisters, Lynne Irvine and Esther Trucksess; her sister-in-law Mary Trucksess; and her nieces and nephews, Lin Stillman, Robin Trumbo, Eric Trucksess, Jane Truxess, Mark Trucksess and Melissa Abcarian. She is also survived by many cousins and family friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Lucas Funeral Home Chapel (700 W Wall St, Grapevine, TX 76051). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
Flowers—or donations to the Alzheimer's Association, Scottish Rite Hospital, or a charity of your choice—are welcome.
