He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Audrey Taliaferro and Mary Helen Taliaferro (Slaten); and his sister Dorthy Nell "Nellie" Taliaferro. He is survived by: his wife Donna Taliaferro (Jackson); his children, Chelsea Kyger (Dustin Kyger) and Jeffrey Taliaferro (Ashley Mangrich Taliaferro); his grandchildren, Ian Kyger, Abigail Kyger, Jackson Taliaferro and Emma Taliaferro; and his siblings, Linda Kay Lybrand (Edward Lybrand), Teresa Ann Neves (Jerry Neves), Lloyd Clayton Taliaferro, David Charles Taliaferro (Niki Taliaferro) and Kenneth Russell Taliaferro (Natalie Taliaferro).

A celebration of life was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home (5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX 76034).
