Clifford Cedotal Obituary
Clifford Joseph Cedotal, 70, of Lewisville, Texas, passed away on March 21, 2020, in Grapevine, Texas. He was born on November 15, 1949 to parents Hayward and Margaret Cedotal.
He graduated from San Antonio’s G.W. Brackenridge High School in 1968 and joined the U.S. Marine Corps, because what he cared about most was helping others and serving his country. He served overseas during the Vietnam War from 1969 to 1971. When he returned, Cliff married Frances A. Isaac on February 18, 1972 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in San Antonio, Texas. In December 1971, he started his career as a police officer for the City of San Antonio, where he served for over 27 years. In 1998, Cliff and Fran moved to Lewisville, Texas, and Cliff started a new position with the Denton County District Attorney’s Office as a criminal investigator in the Child Abuse Unit of the Family Law Division. He retired in 2012, after 41 years of committed public service to Texas citizens.
After protecting the community for so long, Cliff spent his retirement fully focused on protecting and caring for his family, which was his main love. Cliff was a funny, generous, open-hearted man who passionately loved his wife, kids and grandkids. Throughout his life, his favorite spot to be was anywhere his family was. “Pa’s” light continues to burn bright in the many lessons he taught his kids and grandkids.
Cliff is survived by his wife, Frances Cedotal (Isaac); his children, Valerie Villa and husband Paul, of San Antonio, Vanessa Compton and husband Doc, of McKinney, Keith Cedotal and partner Doug Magditch, of Dallas, and Victoria Maroney and husband Ryan, of Denton; and his very loved grandchildren, Alexa Villarreal, Nolan Villa, Harrison Maroney, Madelyn Maroney, and Everett Maroney.
*memorial service will be at a later date due to current covid-19 regulations.
