She was predeceased by: her parents, William Finch Surratt and Anna Leone Surratt; her husband Jim Boone; and her son Michael Boone. She is survived by: her daughter Lisa Boone Elliott; her son-in-law Bert Elliott; and her grandchildren, Britton Elliott, Joshua Elliott, Lynee Elliott and Michael Elliott.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Street Dog Project, an animal rescue organization that was dear to Betty's heart.
