She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruben "Boybee" Taylor (Boybee) and Mollie Taylor; her husband Curtis J. Lewis Sr.; and her siblings, Carolyn L. Turner, Ruth E. Black, Sallie M. Caldwell, Thelma Taylor, Linda J. Taylor, Ruben L. Taylor, Frank D. Taylor, Tobie Taylor, Jobie Taylor and Edward Taylor.
She is survived by: her children, Sherry Sails (Darren) of Houston, TX, Curtis J. Lewis Jr. of Grapeland, TX, Markis Lewis (Bessie) of Elkhart, TX and Lance Lewis (Phillip) of Seattle, WA; her grandchildren, Britney Randall of Houston, TX, Cody Moore of Greensville, TX, Jerry Jordan Randall of Houston, TX and Caitlyn Lewis of Tyler, TX; and her great grandchildren, Nia Robbins of Houston, TX, Addison Randall of Ft. Worth, TX, Nehemiah Williams of Houston, TX and Etta M. Taylor of Crockett, TX. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Rising Star Baptist Church (10987 US-287 N, Grapeland, TX 75844).
