He is survived by: his wife Janice Choate of Grapeland; his daughter Shelley Beard (Randy) of Grapeland; his grandchildren, Ross Beard of Nacogdoches, Tiffany Macmanus, Mike Kassa of Phoenix City, Ashley Stanfield (Bryan) of Groesbeck, Melanie Howard (Drew Smith) of Clarksville and Vance Beard (Myranda) of China Springs; his great grandchildren, Katelyn, Gage, Kadence, Logan, Presley, Jackson, Albree and Aven; his great great grandchild Ka'Iwa; and his sister Wanda Black of Bryan. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
