He was predeceased by: his daughter Stephanie Ann Currie; his parents, Charles Currie and Mary Lawson Currie; his brother-in-law Rodney Richardson; and his niece Ashley Rene Benge.
He is survived by: his wife Debra Currie of Grapeland; his brother Button Currie (Liz) of Crockett; his parents-in-law, Mattie Lou Richardson of Crockett and Ross Richardson (Jean) of Latexo; his siblings-in-law, Sondra Davis of Kennard, Sandra Johnston (Ralph) of Rusk, Arlene Benge (Eric) of Arkansas, Kelly Kellum, Judd Pyle of Belott, Jo Neen Richardson of Crockett and Ross Richardson, Jr.; and his wife Ann of Galveston. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mt. Vernon Cemetery Association.
