He is survived by: his children, Ronnie Lynn Gregg (Brenda), Sam Houston Gregg II (Ginger) and Jeannette. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Weches Baptist Church (21781 State Hwy 21 E, Grapeland, TX 75844). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
