We are sad to announce that on April 13, 2023, at the age of 93, Atherine Hicks of Grapeland, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fannie Campbell Stubblefield and Isaac Henry Stubblefield; her siblings, Elbert, Chester, Ruben, Albert and Wilford; and her grandson Julian Hicks.
She is survived by: her husband Herman J. Hickson; her children, Herman Jay Hicks Jr., Donald Wayne Hicks and Gwenda Hicks Sampson; her son-in-law Nathan Sampson; her grandchildren, Shana Hicks, Donald Hicks II, Tasha Hicks, Candace Sampson and Nathan Sampson Jr.; her great grandchildren, J'khory Gibson, Brendan Linton, Roy Sampson, Tyler Lundy, Dawn Hicks and Donald Hicks III; her great great grandchildren, Jace Gibson and Janiah Gibson; and her siblings, Arnold Stubblefield, Clarence Stubblefield, Nora Wilson, Azella Donato, Marie Raymond and Ruth Simmons. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and in laws.
