We are sad to announce that on March 17, 2020, at the age of 88, John Franklin Deacon Sr. (Granger, Texas), born in Berryville, Virginia passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John Franklin Deacon Sr. to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his wife Anna Belle Franklin; his sister Janie; and his son-in-law David H. Fischer. He is survived by: his children, Virginia A. Fischer of Georgetown, John F. Franklin Jr. (Charlotte) of Uhland and Valerie K. Franklin of Austin; his grandchildren, Shane (Sarah Vrazel), Aaron Vrazel, Elizabeth Franklin, Theresa (Jason Pratt) and Andrea (Donald Benson); and his great grandchildren, Aiden, Dakota, Charly and Maekenzie. He is also survived by numerous extended family and dear friends.

Parkinson's disease eventually ended his ability to love and care for the farm, so he and Ann packed up and moved to Granger a dozen years ago.
