He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe P. Zajicek and Sybil Zurovetz Mitchell; his wife Beverly Zajicek; his daughter Jean Ann Falkenburg; and his sons-in-law, Mike Holly and Andy Urbanek.

He is survived by: his children, Joe Zajicek Jr. (Cindy), Ricky Cooper (Debbie), Bobby Cooper (JeanAnn), Diana Burkhardt (Lawrence), Shari Holly and Tami Jo Urbanek; his siblings, Georgia Kalmbach (Alton), Barbara Ann Brown (Bill), Carolyn Hodnett (Mickey) and Scotty Mitchell (Brenda); and his brother-in-law Steve Dusek (Vicky). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren & numerous nieces and nephews, and all the other kids.
