He was predeceased by: his wife Sarah Marek Ortiz; his father Domingo Ortiz; and his sister Petra Ortiz. He is survived by: his children, Aurora Rodriguez Ortiz, Alfredo Ortiz and Balthasar Ortiz; and his siblings, Manuel Ortiz of Thrall, Leon Ortiz of Rockdale, Tino Ortiz of Granger, Gloria (Ciprano Flores), Janie (Andrew Flores), Linda (George Flores) and Olga Salazar of Thrall. He is also survived by 8 grandkids and 3 great grandkids as well as numerour nieces and nephews.
