He was predeceased by: his mother Durlene Perkins; his brother Anthony Perkins; his grandmothers, Maggie Harmon Cox and Ruth Berry; and his aunt Vickie Jean Harmon Stone.
He is survived by: his father Melvin Perkins of Burleson, TX; his children, Jerome Wright (Antionette) of Austin, TX, Michelle Perkins of Joshua, TX, Carey Perkins of Brownwood, TX and Stormy Perkins of Rio Vista, TX; and his siblings, Ronnie Jones (March), Jimmy Crawford (Angela), Johnny Williams, Phyllis Perkins, Sherry Williams (Jerry) and Rie DeSoto (Mike) of San Antonio, TX. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
