With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sammy DeVone Wheeler of Grand Saline, Texas, born in Spring, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 29, 2024 at the age of 75. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Levi and Irene Prestidge Wheeler; and his siblings, Billie Jane Pitts, Dottie Lee Wheeler and Roger Wheeler.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Wheeler of Grand Saline; his son Daniel Wheeler (Audrey) of Winnsboro; his stepchildren, Jimmy Lynch (Tamra) of Grand Saline and Cara Norman (Chris) of Canton; and his siblings, Bobby Joe Wheeler of Golden, Ricky Wheeler (Cindy) of Elizabethtown, KY and Kay Dobbins (Ed) of Bryan. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
