It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Malinda Looney of Grand Saline, Texas, born in Quinlan, Texas, who passed away on September 14, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Crow and Bertha Frances Dool Crow; her brother James "Jim" Henry Crow; and her siblings-in-law, Christine Crow, Randolph Gheen and John Darden.
She is survived by: her husband Abner "Sam" Looney of Grand Saline; her children, Donald Waits (Colleen) of Comfort, Danny Waits of Grand Saline, Daina Ashton of Grand Saline and Dawn Erwin (Steven) of Grand Saline; her stepchildren, Samuel Looney (Dawn) of Sulphur Springs, Thelma Chesshire of Detroit and LaQuita Jones (Jimmy) of Henderson; her siblings, Bill Crow of San Angelo, Walter Crow (Cathy) of Forney, Paul Crow of Mesquite, Floy Darden of Forney, Gayla Cuter (Rob) of Houston and Sue Gheen of Rockwall; and her grandsons, Donny Waits Jr., Daniel Waits, Taylor Waits, Douglas Waits, Michael Kelly, Alex Erwin and Adam Erwin. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
