He was predeceased by: his parents, John Fletcher and Verta Starkey Harris; his wife Effie Brown Harris; his son Ray Harris; his brother A. W. Harris; and his granddaughter Kelly Nicole Harris.
He is survived by: his son John Harris (Barbara) of Grand Saline; and his sisters-in-law, Betty Brown of Terrell and Patsy Harris of Grand Saline. He is also survived by five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
