It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Johnny Thorn (Grand Saline, Texas), born in Princeton, Texas, who passed away on August 23, 2019, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wade Hampton and Mae Evelyn Godwin Thorn. He is survived by: his wife Deloyce Thorn of Grand Saline; his children, Tommy H. Smith (Neda) of Bullard, Kimberly Hutto (Rex) of Fred, Debbie Goebel (Paul) of Grand Saline, Laura Meeks (Don) of Como, Jacquelyn Gibson (Alex) of Pauls Valley, OK and Marci Abbott of Ft. Worth; and his siblings, Jim Thorn (Judy) of Ryan, OK, Laura Thorn Jackson (David) of Ryan, OK and Grace Thorn of Ryan, OK. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; forty great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
