He was predeceased by: his parents, J. C. Russell and Vesta Idalia Russell (Taylor); his sisters, Barbara Herrin and Patricia Moore; his brothers-in-law, O. C. Herrin, Preston Moore, Butch Koonce and George Doerr III; and his parents-in-law, George and Melba Doerr.
He is survived by: his wife Lynda Russell of Grand Saline; his children, Ryan Caldwell (Elissa) of Lethbridge and Heather Walters (Jason Harris); his sister Judy Alphin (Jack) of Grand Saline; his grandchildren, Caitlin, Clayton Korinek, Aliya Caldwell, Makayla Walters, Cassara Caldwell, Sarinna Caldwell and Jace Harris; and his great grandchild Jayden Korinek. He is also survived by other loving family members and friends.
