He was predeceased by: his parents, Gregorio Ortega and Francisca Ortega; his wife Cilviya Rubio Ortega; his daughter Olga Tovar; and his son-in-law Jeffery Rodriguez.
He is survived by: his daughters, Irene Aguilar of Dallas, Carol Rubio of Dallas, Sylvia Rubio (Arturo) of El Paso, Veronica Ortega (Jesus Lopez), Marriah Phillips (Clint) of Canton and Adel Maitland of Austin. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other loving family members and friends.
