He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Combs and Anabell McCoy Combs; his siblings, Mary Linda Fannin, JoAnn Pendleton, Larry Combs, Gary Combs, Wayne Combs and Gene Combs; and his sons, Jimmy Dale Combs and James Ray Hammonds.
He is survived by: his sister Rachel Mosley Stone of Henderson; and his children, Kenneth Combs of Utah, Al Combs, Jr. (Mary Ann) of Lindale, Eddie Combs of Rhonesboro, Brad Combs of Gilmer, Chris Combs of Mineola, Brandon Combs of Florida, Shane Combs of Gladewater, Darlene Griswold of Florida, Elizabeth of Texas and Mariah Walker Santomango (Jakob) of Virginia Beach. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
