He is survived by: his sons, Vernon Benton (Vicki), Rodger Benton and Jimmie Benton (Denise); and his grandchildren, Gary Benton, Teri Mauldin (Denny), Matthew Benton (Gwendalyn), Jamie Jones, Rebekah Benton, Rachel Davis (Emily), Samuel Benton and Shawna Knox (Travis). He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren.
