She was predeceased by: her grandmothers, Wilma Jean Harlan and Shirley Jean O'Bryant; her great-grandparent Almeda Smith; and her mother-in-law Stephanie Lewis-Birdow. She is survived by: her parents, Michael Smith and Cynthia Smith of Corsicana, TX.; her husband Joe Romero Jr.; her children, Andre Ware, Jasmine Smith, Malia Clardy and Grayson Lewis; her sisters, Carneisha "Karr" Stewart (Brandon) of Irving, TX and Jessica Freeman of Brooklyn, NY; her nieces and nephews, Jaylen Harris, Jareem Smith, Justice Smith and Alivea Stewart; her stepson Joe Romero III; her daughter Gabriela Valdez; her aunts and uncles, Marion Hawkins of Houston, TX, Angela Thompson (Raymond) of Houston, TX, Victor Smith of Houston, TX and Rickey Smith of Corsicana, TX; and her children, JaKyria, JaMarlon Clardy Jr., Shaniya, Cody and Pauletta Lewis. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, cousins, friends, and coworkers.
