He was predeceased by: his parents, Reynaldo Cortez and Maria; and his brother Rene Roberto Cortez (Tiny). He is survived by: his spouse Elmidia Lydia Lopez; his children, Cynthia (Dan Lievrouw), Ricardo Cortez Jr., Rolando Cortez, Celinda (David Christian), Mimi (Tim Conway) and Roger (Tina Cortez); and his grandchildren, Ricardo D. Chavez, Ryan Christian, Courtney Christian, RJ Cortez, Jessi Cortez, Jarrid Fraley, Caleigh Christian Baisden, Justin Fraley, Jazmin Cortez, Rachel Cortez and Madison Lievrouw. He is also survived by one brother, three sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.
