He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Tharp and Lorene Tharp; and his siblings, Lavell Tharp Bennett and O. Leroy. He is survived by: his spouse Lupe McCoy; his grandson Kevan Brown; his children, Otis Kirk Tharp (Tammy) of Midlothian, Dewayne Pitts (Crystal) of Wagner, OK and Patricia Maria Tharp Brown (Joshua) of Alvarado; his sisters, Ruanne Miller of Wheatland, Katy Olive Tharp Liebreich (John) of Forney and Barbara Tharp McBride of Wills Point; and his grandchildren, Kirsten, Ashley, Tristen, Ashlyn, Brittany (Dolores), Tiffany, Jacob, Corey, Dylan, Dustin and Destiny. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
