It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mavis Irene Rose Shanklin of Grand Prairie, Texas, born in Plunkett, Saskatchewan, who passed away on March 21, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Farkas and Irene Farkas; her husband John A. Shanklin of Grand Prairie, Texas.; and her son Shermon Shanklin. She is survived by: her uncle Dr. Andy Cook; her daughter Debby Shanklin Barrett (John Driggers); her brothers, Glen and Gerald Farkas (Joyce) of Canada; and her grandchildren, Trevor (Leslie), Carly and Corbin (Chelsea).
