He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Harold Byars and Nellie Mae Reed Byars; and his siblings, Clifford, Junior Byars, Mae Evelyn Oliver and Nina Mae Byars.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Faye Hopper; and his children, Mark (Janet) of Azle, Lisa Swanzy (Dean) of Hurst and Marsha Hall (Robert) of Euless. He is also survived by children (especially babies) and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
