He was predeceased by: his parents, John E. Matthews and Dorothy Gladys McEntee. He is survived by: his wife Alma McEntee Matthews; his daughter Dorothy Morgan; his granddaughters, Beverly Morgan and Elizabeth Ames; and his niece Karen Drum.
