He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Edwards and Georgia Sisson Edwards; his sister Dorthea Edmonson; his former wife Gracia; his wife Mary; his grandson Jimmy Shotwell; and his son-in-law Larry Shotwell.

He is survived by: his children, Jack H. Edwards Jr. (Laraine), Claudia A. Shotwell and James T. Edwards (Lori). He is also survived by 6 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren and 13 great, great grandchildren.

Memorial donations can be given to First Presbyterian Church Grand Prairie Texas.
