She was predeceased by: her son Hernan "Ernie" Cortez; and her sister Gloria Serna. She is survived by: her children, Roberto "Bob" Cortez Jr., Estevan "Steve" Cortez and Jesusa "Susie" Gonzales; and her siblings, Ricardo Ramon, Manuel Ramon Jr., Juan Ramon, Petra Lopez, Sara Campos, Sulema Edwards, Rina Rivera and Marta Benavidez. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
