She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Clarence Joseph and Ruth Iwana Hodges (Carter); her children, Cynthia Lanette Lanfear (Raymond) of Arlington and Stephen Edwards (Tracy) of Burleson; her grandchildren, Michael Edwards, Robert Lanfear, Carrigan Edwards, Andrew Lanfear and Zachary Lanfear; her great grandchildren, Abigail Edwards, Sophia Edwards and Oliver Edwards; and her siblings, Danny Hodges of Alvarado and Lavena Slaughter of Brinkley, Arkansas.. She was also cherished by five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
