It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Chester Raymond Hurt of Grand Prairie, Texas, born in Henning, Tennessee, who passed away on August 4, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Hurt and Etta Vaughn Hurt; and his brothers, Bobby Hurt and Joe Hurt. He is survived by: his wife Frances McCollum Hurt; his children, John Hurt (Robin Everheart Hurt), Mike Hurt (Jill Vera Hurt) and Stacey Hurt Edwards (David Edwards); his granddaughters, Heather Hurt Armstrong (Wes Armstrong), Lauren Hurt Ashwin (Nick Ashwin), Kaitlyn Hurt, Casey Hurt, Erin Hurt, Emily Edwards and Sarah Edwards; and his great grandchild Delta Ashwin.

The family has requested donations be made in his name to St. Jude's Hospital in lieu of flowers.
