He was predeceased by: his parents, Mattie K. Bridges and Reubin L. Bridges; his wife Bettye Ruth Brooks; his siblings, Cecil, R. L. Bridges, Dorothy Greenberg, Lucille Magee, Violet Womack and Jean Davis; and his nieces and nephews, Randy, Russell, Ronnie, David, Jerry, Patsy, Holly and Kathy.
He is survived by: his children, Paula Mullen and Scott Bridges; his nieces and nephews, Rick, Robin, Terry, Alan, Kay, Narsha and Ginger; and his grandchildren, Drew, Daniel, Barrett and Brook. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
