She was predeceased by: her former husbands, Ronald "Ron" Young of Tyler and Keith Henderson of San Antonio, Texas.; her parent Rose "Rosie" Van Sleeuwen of Arlington; her sisters, Elizabeth Johnson of Zimbabwe, Agnes Johnson of Zimbabwe and Ann Johnson of Zimbabwe; and her nephew Kingdom "King" H. Matthews of South Africa.

She is survived by: her children, Candice Young of Grand Prairie, Kyle Young of Grand Prairie, Richard D. Young of Irving and Derrick A. Young (Angelina) of Waxahachie, Texas.; her nephew Francis X. Johnson (Ana) of Lewisville; her grandchildren, Preston, Maribell and Annabella; and her great-nephew Alex.

Carol's organs were donated, to pass on the miracle of life to those less fortunate.
