He was predeceased by: his former wife Helen Ione Waddell; his wife Dovie Mae Green of Arlington; and his daughter Lesa Brecht (Waxahachie). He is survived by: his daughter Theresa; his son-in-law Matthew Kushner of Dallas; his stepdaughters, Barbara Ann Ruthart and Martha; his son-in-law Charles Carter of Crowley; and his grandchildren, David Kushner (Dallas), Charles Ruthart (Arlington), Gia Binkowski (Pflugerville), Tanya Pemberton (Cypress), Charis Hendrick (Corsicana), Lauren Meyer of Katy, TX and Syndi Byrne (Eustace). He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
