She is survived by: her husband James Gage; her children, Attara, DayShawn, Ashonte' and ACoya Young; her grandchildren, JaLeela, JaLynn Dayries, Jamara, JaKiyah, Taraji Young, Tyja Poche, LaMaya Boyd, Kayla Brickley, DayShawn Young Jr., Leon and Lion Brown; her siblings, Gail Lee (Scott), Michelle Young, Karen Young and Kim Young; her aunts and uncles, Alberta G. Ruffin, Dorothy Mae Robertson, Creole Sextion of Chicago, Raymond Gabriel Jr. (Emelda), Gus M. Sextion and William Sextion; her godchildren, Katrina Red, Michael Young, James Loftis, Montell Green and Wania Anderson; and her friends, Latanya Williams, Claudell Young and Joy Legania. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
