It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Hooks (Granbury, Texas), born in Houston, Texas, who passed away on January 14, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Billy Hooks; and her parents, Hays Chronister Anderson and Mary Walden Jones. She is survived by: her daughters, Katherine Kauffman (Nina), Emily Hooks and Tami Rasmussen (David); her grandchildren, Zachary Hooks, Kasey Gruener (Eric) and Hayley Kauffman; her great grandchild Ada Gruener; her sisters, Joyce Navarro (Wayne), Charla Anderson and Marsha Hutsell; her brother-in-law Dennis Hooks (Laura); and also, Jackson, Allyson and Emily Strenk. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, a multitude of friends.
