Richard L. Willey Obituary

We are sad to announce that on April 24, 2024 we had to say goodbye to Richard L. Willey of Granbury, Texas, born in Rushville, Indiana. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

Though Richard may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Richard touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was predeceased by: his son Walter (Marjorie E. Montgomery Willey); his wife Gloria Shepherd; and his siblings, Doris Bowles, Kimberly and Hugh Willey.

He is survived by: his son Rick Willey; his grandchildren, Joshua of Texas, Jasmine of Texas, Jay of Texas and Jon Willey of Texas; and his sisters, Judy Colvin (Charles), Rosie Herbert (Jerry) of Rushville and Becky DeVoe (Mike) of Shelbyville.

Shirley A Decker wrote a sympathy message

“Dear Rick and Josh: I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I think of you both and your family often and wish to know how you are doing. I have stopped by the house in Rusvhille over several years and left a card, but I never received a response. Last year I looked them up on Whitepages and seen they moved to Texas near you. I miss you both. Love Grandma Shirley”
