He was predeceased by: his spouse Carmen; his parents, Sadie and Cephus; and his brother J. C. (Carmen). He is survived by: his daughter Sammie (James); his stepson Jeff (Charity); his son Jon; his grandchildren, William, Garrett, Jaxon, Jaden, Payton and Harper; his siblings, Edna, Mary Alice, Bill and Kenny; and his siblings-in-law, Janet and Becca.
